演講摘要]

In order to compete with leading biomedical research in the world and effectively use the resources at NTU medical campus, the Branch office of Research and Development established six core facilities in the First Core Lab to provide general technical services and share biomedical resources. Many common instruments are also open to researchers in our campus. The core facilities include the Flow Cytometric Analyzing and Sorting Core, Biomedical Resource center, DNA sequencing core, Imagine core, Human Disease Modeling Center, and Medical Microbiota Center. The First Core Lab also supports comprehensive instructions service including technical support, user training for self-operation, and technical consultation.

In this meeting, we will first briefly introduce the services in the First Core Lab, and then focus on Biomedical Resource Center and Gene Knockout/in Cell Line Modeling Core. One of purposes of the Biomedical Resource Center is sharing biomedical resources. PI can request plasmids and yeast strains from this core. We also have a database of cell lines and antibodies to indicate where you can obtain the material in our medical campus. This core also provides general technical services, such as gene cloning, plasmid purification, stable cell line establishment and yeast two-hybrid screening. Gene Knockout/in Cell Line Modeling Core specializes in providing custom Crispr-Cas9 DNA nucleases to create gene edition in a genomic region of your interest. We use low-off target eSpCas9(1.1) to increase the specificity of genome-editing applications.
